2/19 – Capillary Action on A Basement Show, 4-6 PMPhiladelphia art-prog ensemble Capillary Action will be stopping by the studio for an on-air performance and interview tomorrow on Adam Winer’s A Basement Show, from 4 to 6 PM. “Capillary Action songs never sit still and do what you expect; they bend, stretch, fall apart and come back together, only to fall apart again. On three very different recordings (all released on the group’s own Pangaea Recordings label), composer/guitarist Jonathan Pfeffer has drawn upon a wide range of influences to create dense, catchy, and deeply personal compositions that mesmerize as much as they challenge. The Philadelphia-based band has toured relentlessly, playing over 250 shows across the U.S. and Canada alongside Joe Lally (Fugazi), Dos (Mike Watt and Kira Roessler), Daughters, Ruins, and Enon, among others. Capillary Action have also been featured in Pitchfork Media, Guitar World, the Wire, the Onion, the Stranger, and Time Out New York.” By Christopher Berry at 2008-02-18 22:20
