About: The majority of the program consists of 20th and 21st century concert music (NOT technically classical!), as well as a good deal of jazz and a smattering of other genres. The main criterion for music on the Broken Elevator is that it reveals something new on each hearing, it just won’t die. Programs generally have some sort of theme, ranging from concrete (i.e., all Hungarian music) to abstract (i.e., “improbable music”). Also, we occasionally do nerd-related news (with special recurring guest Stocky) and live radio drama (including “The Shadow” and “Nero Wolfe”)!
