“We are all only temporary curators of our present bodies, which will all decay, sooner or later. In a hundred years or so all the humans currently alive will have died. I take great comfort in knowing, with certainty, that thing that makes us special, able to enrich our own lives and those of others, will not cease when our bodies do but will be just starting a new (and hopefully even better) adventure …”
–Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson

Early on the morning of November 25th, in his home in Bangkok, Peter ‘Unkle Sleazy’ Christopherson died in his sleep. During his prolific 55 years on Earth, he created some of the most innovative and daring music ever heard with Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, Coil, The Threshold HouseBoys Choir, SoiSong, and others; as well as a wealth of visual art with the design collective Hipgnosis, and as a filmmaker, when he directed dozens of music videos for artists from Yes and Paul McCartney to Rage Against the Machine and Nine Inch Nails.

This Thursday, B▲RF MY WORLD celebrates the life of Peter Christopherson by remembering his music.

Channel 1 from 6 to 8 AM on Thursday.
